Before you read anything else I have to say tonight, I'd like to invite you to take five minutes to watch a video:
This video says what I can't always find the words for myself: that this campaign is about something much bigger than just me or my opponent. It's about the people we've met and the communities we've visited over these last several months.
The people of Nebraska are the heart and soul of our campaign.
Before I even decided to run for United States Senate, a lot of so-called experts counted me out. They said I didn’t have the money, or the name recognition, or the special interest ties necessary to survive in our modern-day politics.
But while I didn't have those resources, what I did have was the greatest gift my parents ever gave me: a deep faith in the core decency of other people. I’ve always believed that if you listen to others with an open mind, you will be listened to in return. And this campaign has only confirmed that belief.

Now, against all odds, this campaign has grown from a small group of friends working out of the back of a pickup truck into a massive grassroots network of volunteers, making new connections and earning new votes every single day. Tonight, I'd like to share with you the next step in my campaign.
Yesterday, in the back room of a restaurant in Bellevue, Nebraska, surrounded by veterans and military families, I launched the Building a Better Nebraska Tour.
Whether it's visiting with wounded veterans in Bellevue or discussing health care policy with medical specialists in Lincoln, this tour is about one thing: getting regular Nebraskans from every walk of life engaged in our democracy once again.
You see, my campaign is rooted in a core belief, that there's nothing wrong with politics in Washington that the values, ideas and energy of every day Nebraskans can't help fix.
That's why I'm traveling Nebraska and listening to its citizens. We are stronger when we put people at the center of our politics.
I know you understand that value. It lies at the very heart of the 50 State Strategy, and it has been the guiding principle of my campaign for U.S. Senate.
Tonight, if you haven't done so already, I'd like to invite you to JOIN OUR CAMPAIGN. By following this link to my website you can sign up to follow the story of our people-centered campaign.
All the best,
Scott Kleeb
